My name is
Minh Han. I am a family practice doctor practicing for the past seven years in Manchester and Hartford, Connecticut. During my medical school training at
Baylor College of Medicine and my
residency training in Roanoke, Virginia, I started doing medical mission work to underserved communities throughout the world. I have had the privilege of doing medical clinics in Venezuela, Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Trinidad, Thailand, and my home country Vietnam.
Most recently, my staff and I had the exciting opoportunity to be part of a team on a medical mission trip from July15-28, 2007 in Tibet. We worked with the non-profit organization
Innovative Humanitarian Solutions to provide primary medical care to indigent people groups in the region. We will also helped a clinical investigator to collect data on a group of children who have a debilitating arthritic condition called
Kashin-Beck Disease, which affects around 3 million people across Tibet, northern China, Mongolia, and North Korea.
Our next trip is planned for August 1-9 in Torreon, Mexico, where we will set up medical clinics to help underserved people as well as do anything else we can to improve the lives of the people in the surrounding area. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help cover the cost of the trip, medicines, and supplies.
Bottom line…we could use your help. Non-tax-deductible donations can be made to Dr. Han's Missions and sent to the office. Funds donated in this way give us more leeway on our spending, as it is not under a 503(c) organization.
If you cannot help financially I would like to ask that you send us some prayers and positive energy so that our intentions to bring healing to the bodies, souls, and minds of the Tibetan people can be realized.
